Woman in custody after road rage incident leads to shooting in Old City: Philadelphia police

Apparent road rage shooting in Old City leaves woman injured

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – One woman is in custody and another is in the hospital after a shooting that officials say was linked to a road rage incident. Police say the shooting happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday on the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

The 45-year-old shooting victim was shot in the upper chest and left arm, authorities say. She was transported to Jefferson Hospital where she is placed in extremely critical condition.

The suspect was taken into custody, officials say. The suspect says she acted in self-defense.
