"Charmed" Reboot in the works for CW

Philadelphia (CW Philly) -- For all those fans of "Charmed" in the world, the show is getting a reboot and it's heading to CW.

The CW had kept quiet for the past few months regarding details of the reboot but broadcast president Mark Pedowitz told reporters during the 2017 TV Critics Association summer press tour that "it's in redevelopment" when it came to the upcoming show, according to IGN.

"[We're] waiting to see what Jennie Urman wants to come back with. ... It's early in the development process, but we're redeveloping it, and hopefully it will come out," Pedowitz said.

Jennie Urman, the creator behind "Jane the Virgin," is writing the reboot of the series, along with Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin. The question now is will the show adapt the storyline of the Halliwell sisters or will we see a new family.

The last episode of "Charmed" aired on May 21, 2006.
