CBS Analyst Phil Simms To Avoid Saying 'Redskins' During Tonight's Broadcast
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Phil Simms will not being saying "Redskins" tonight when the Washington Redskins host the New York Giants on CBS 3's Thursday Night Football.
Simms, CBS's NFL color commentator, first told The Associated Press last month that he would call the team "Washington" during the broadcast. Simms' partner and play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz said it's "not my job to take a stance."
