Caught On Camera: Good Samaritans Capture Alleged Armed Robber In Bucks County
FAIRLESS HILLS (CBS) -- A group of good Samaritans took justice into their own hands when they chased down and subdued a man who allegedly attacked a woman with a knife at a Bucks County shopping center.
It happened Saturday at the Queen Anne Plaza Shopping Center on South Oxford Valley Road in Fairless Hills.
Police say a man armed with a knife attempted to steal a woman's purse outside of a credit union. Authorities say the woman screamed and fought her attacker off who started running away across the plaza. At that point, police say three citizens who witnessed the altercation chased the suspect, tackled him into a pile of snow and managed to hold him down until officers arrived to make an arrest.
A bystander captured part of the incident on cell phone video.
The woman was not seriously injured.
