Caught On Camera: Customer's Tantrum Allegedly Injures Dunkin' Donuts Worker
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a female they say threw a ceramic cup at a Dunkin' Donuts manager.
An employee tells Eyewitness News the dispute was over $1.76 and one worker described the event as "absolutely horrible." He adds that the woman was cursing at him, throwing things, including the tip jar and it was all caught on the store's surveillance video.
Authorities say around 6:50 a.m. on February 12, a woman entered a Dunkin' Donuts on the 1500 block of Washington Avenue and approached the counter to place an order.
The suspect allegedly became dissatisfied with the service and police say she began knocking things down on the counter.
The female then allegedly picked up a ceramic cup used for tips, and threw it at the manager, causing a laceration on her left
wrist.
The suspect then fled the scene and was last seen entering a dark colored vehicle, possibly a Ford Taurus.
Police say the 31-year-old employee was taken to Pennsylvania Hospital and treated for her injuries.
Authorities describe the suspect as a black female, 5'4", 20-years-old, with a thin build. She was wearing a black hat and tan jacket.
