MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have locked down two southern New Jersey schools after a bullet was found.
A spokeswoman for the Atlantic County sheriff's office says that students at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology and the Special Services School in Mays Landing are safe and parents should not report to the school.
The spokeswoman says that no weapons had been found as of 2:20 p.m. after the lockdown went into effect Friday morning. The spokeswoman says that K-9 dogs had been brought in for the search.
