BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) -- The owner of a Bucks County video production company is under arrest, accused of taking money from unsuspecting victims who hired him to shoot video and then failed to provide the services.
Bensalem police say the complaints started coming over the summer. They were getting calls from people who said they paid money to the owner of Dolbow Video Production Company, on Galloway Road, then never heard from him again.
Police say a majority of the alleged victims in this case hired Michael Dolbow III to videotape their weddings.
As a result of the investigation, police say, they identified more than forty people who paid the 31-year-old man a total of more than $40,000. Some they say got partial services or some of their money back, but others say they weren't able to recover anything at all.
Dolbow is now charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and related offenses. He was sent to the Bucks County Prison after his bail was set at $70,000 with a requirement that he post ten percent in advance.
Police believe there may be more victims out there.
