Brooke Shields Cast In The CW's 'Glamorous' Pilot, Eva Longoria To Direct Episode

Philadelphia (CW Philly) Glamorous, a new pilot executive produced by Damon Wayans Jr. and Jordon Nardino, is underway at The CW.

According to Deadline, the show "centers on a gender non-conforming recent high school graduate who lands the gig of a lifetime interning at a cosmetics company whose products he panned on YouTube."

Brooke Shields has been cast in the pilot. She'll portray Madolyn, who's described as "a canny businesswoman and entrepreneur, Madolyn is at the top of the game and will stop at nothing to stay there, including making a strategic hire to be her eyes and ears within the company."

This won't be Shields' first time acting in a CW series. Viewers may remember River Fields, a character Shields played for a multi-episode arc on Jane the Virgin.

Additionally, iZombie's Jade Payton has been cast as Venetia, Madolyn's assistant. Venetia is someone who is "deeply connected with Chicago's queer community and nightlife, with her finger on the pulse of who and what is happening in the underground scene."

Payton took to social media to express her gratitude for the new opportunity, writing in part, "THIS IS HAPPENING!! I am so excited to be a part of this project!!"

Eva Longoria will direct the pilot. Her directing credits include episodes of Jane the Virgin, Telenovela, and Black-ish. Longoria shared her excitement about the new project on Instagram.

Who's looking forward to the first episode of Glamorous? Sound off in the comments!

Stay tuned for a premiere date.
