Bridgeton Man In Possession of 600 Bags of Heroin Arrested Following Traffic Stop

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS)—A Bridgeton is facing charges after police recover 600 bags of heroin following a traffic stop on Thursday.

Atlantic City police say they pulled over 36-year-old Curtis Nichols, of Bridgeton, New Jersey in the 900 block of Caspian Ave. in Atlantic City.

During the traffic stop, K9 partner Nikki alerted officers to the scent of narcotics which resulted in the seizure of 500 bags of heroin inside the vehicle.

Police say Nichols was also in possession of an additional 100 bags of heroin and $5,000 cash, which they believed to be drug proceeds.

Nichols is being charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of CDS with the intent to distribute.

He remains held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $75,000 bail.
