Police found a hypodermic needle in the vehicle and both Adams and his passenger, Tyeisha Jackson, were arrested for possession of a hypodermic needle.

During the ride to the police station, officers reportedly saw Adams reaching in the rear area of his pants while in the patrol car. A search of his body cavities was conducted at the hospital, and Adams was found to be hiding a significant amount of heroin in his body.
