Blue-And-Gold Day In LA As Rams Come Home After 22 Years

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It was a preseason game with the electricity of a playoff game.

At least until the opening kickoff.

Rams jerseys from all eras filled the streets and parks around the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the stands inside for the first time in decades.

When the team took the field, LA fans were able to give off a roar for the Rams the region hasn't heard since 1994, and that the Coliseum hasn't heard since 1980 when the team moved to Anaheim.

Even an opening kickoff return for a touchdown from the Dallas Cowboys' Lucky Whitehead in Saturday's preseason opener for both teams couldn't kill the mood.

The Rams' first touchdown, a run by Benny Cunningham, brought the day's biggest roar, as though it finally made the move official.
