Blog: Jet Blue Begins Charging For Checked Luggage Today
By Jim Donovan: I told you about this in November, but now you really need to pay attention. Beginning today Jet Blue customers who purchase the airline's lowest tier of fares (known as blue fares) will have to pay $20 to check a bag online, or $25 to check a bag at the ticket counter. The cost to check a second bag is $35.
These changes are only applicable to customers who booked their travel on or after June 30, 2015. Customers who booked travel prior to June 30, 2015, will be allowed one (1) checked bag free of charge and may check a second bag for a $35 fee.
