Black Men For Bernie Condemns Dems, Clinton During Rally In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An organization known as Black Men for Bernie held a protest rally Thursday afternoon in Center City Philadelphia.
The protest at Thomas Paine Plaza was falsely billed as a BBQ. During the rally, Black Men for Bernie condemned the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton.
"We are a group of people who came together because our votes were stolen, we had corruption in the DNC,"an organizer told the crowd. "We had Hillary Clinton selected and nobody stood up, that's why we're here. You cannot allow the bad behavior of the Democratic Party to prevail and you cannot allow fear to take you somewhere where you really shouldn't go."
Speaking to a crowd of a few dozen, organizers persistently voiced their frustration with various political policies and argued with people in the crowd who did not agree with them.
"We revolt, because the behavior is so bad that we have to revolt."
During the rally, Black Men for Bernie supporters encouraged attendees to break away from the traditional two-party system.
"If you do not take down the behavior that has been displayed, it only gets worse next time."
