Big Temperature Changes Continue

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- So far this year, October is our warmest month above average by 2.4 degrees.  Then, November started off well below average, but now a warm air mass has returned to the region.

The jet stream has taken a ride well to the north, allowing high temperatures today to reach the lower 70s, a good 10 degrees above average.  The warm air mass continues for another 24 hours as low temperatures tonight will be in the 50s with highs on Wednesday above average in the upper 60s.

Don't get used to the warmth as a the next storm will bring some rain on Thursday with cooler highs in the lower 60s. Behind that storm, windy and colder conditions return to the Delaware Valley on Friday, as the jets stream takes a dive southward.  Expect high temperatures in the low to mid 50s, about 5-10 degrees below average on Friday through the weekend.
