Best In Show Awards At Consumer Electronics Show
By Ian Bush
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Consumer Electronics Show is wrapping up in Las Vegas. The best-in-show awards were handed out last night.
"And now the moment you've all been waiting for," the top innovation, as announced by Engadget's Marc Perton: "The Oculus Rift Crystal Cove Prototype." They're virtual reality goggles.
"It's a headset that really immerses you in the gaming experience," says Sarah Silbert with Engadget. The OLED screen displays the action while sensors and a camera track your head and body position and help simulate movement.
This year's show went wild over wearables, and Silbert says the fitness-tracking bracelet Jaybird Reign stands out.
"It really monitors how you're doing, your stats, and suggests when you should be working out, when you need to sleep more. So it's taking all of that stat collecting to the next level."
