Bernie Sanders Holds Rally In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY (CBS) -- Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders staged a rally in Atlantic City today, appealing to his supporters to let their voices be heard in the upcoming New Jersey primary on June 7.

Speaking to several hundred people here inside Boardwalk Hall, Bernie Sanders fired up the base by pledging – if elected – to work for the middle-class rather than billionaires and Wall Street brokers and bankers.

He pledged that billionaires like Donald Trump, who sold off failing casino assets, and Carl Icahn, another Atlantic City investor, are going to see some changes if he's elected.

"You guys are not going to get it all, we're going to change this economy. We're going to create an economy that works for dishwashers, that works for waiters and waitresses."

Sanders insisted there's still a narrow path to the Democratic nomination if he wins states like New Jersey and California next month.

He says he's hoping to pick up a majority of the pledged delegates heading into the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia and give rival Hillary Clinton a fight for the nomination.
