Bernie Sanders Election Night Watch Party Held In Old City

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Democratic presidential nominee Bernie Sander's campaign held an election results watch party in Old City Philadelphia Tuesday evening.

Senator Sanders did not win Pennsylvania, but his press secretary Simone Sanders says while campaigning in the commonwealth they were able to gain momentum that they want to use as they look forward to the next contest.

"Going forward into the next set of nominating contests I think it will be really important to have a really great ground game and then continue to meet people where they are because we've seen success when we do go into communities," she said.

Sanders says their campaign is still going strong and despite trailing Secretary Clinton, they still see a path to the democratic nomination.

"This is a delegate game. We have won now 17 nominating contests again there's still 10 more to go but we've seen we do well when both Democrats and Independents are allowed to vote in the democratic primary."
