Beer Meets Boardwalk This Weekend In Atlantic City

By Andrew Kramer

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) - Philly Beer Week may be over, but brews will be flowing Saturday in Atlantic City during the first ever Boardwalk Beer Festival.

Atlantic City has had great success with craft beer festivals over the years, and their latest one invades the boardwalk right outside Bally's.

"What we have here is a large, outdoor courtyard area and a huge boardwalk outcove, and we're just going to bring in breweries from around the country really," explains BJ Hamilton, one of the festival's organizers. "We have 30-40 breweries, two beers each."

Hamilton says the festival features two, four-hour sessions of unlimited beer samplings, but that's not all:

"There'll be live music, there'll be DJ entertainment, there'll be games, there'll be food available for purchase."

A ticket gets you access to either the afternoon (starts at noon) or evening (starts at 5 p.m.) session.
