Authorities: EMT Killed When Car, Ambulance Collide In New Jersey

EAST BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say an EMT was killed when a car collided with an ambulance that was headed to a call in a neighboring town.

The accident occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday in the area of Ryder Lane and Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.

Authorities say an ambulance crew from Spotswood was on its way to assist at an auto accident in East Brunswick when the crash occurred. No patients were in the ambulance at the time.

The name of the person killed was not disclosed, pending notification of family members.

It wasn't immediately clear if anyone else was injured in the accident, which remains under investigation.
