Aunt Says She Realized Her Niece Was Probably West Philadelphia Kidnapper

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There was potentially damning testimony today in the trial of the 21-year-old woman charged with kidnapping a kindergarten girl early last year and sexually assaulting her.

The defendant lived with her aunt in West Philadelphia, near the school, at the time of the kidnapping, and today the aunt testified for the prosecution.

Valerie Williams said she saw her niece, defendant Christina Regusters, walk into the house just minutes after the kidnapping had taken place, carrying something over her shoulder.  Williams said she didn't know what it was.

Authorities allege it was the little victim, hidden inside a laundry bag.

Williams says that a couple of weeks later, when police working on the crime showed her surveillance video of the kidnapping, she thought the woman draped in Muslim garb was Regusters.  And the little victim, she noted, was wearing her own white coat.
