Area Restaurants Doing Boom Business As Residents Wait For Power To Return

HORSHAM, Pa. (CBS) -- This week's power outage is making is seem like Restaurant Week all around the Philadelphia area, as people without electric power at home (see related stories) are forced to go out to get a hot meal.
Diners at Hurley's American Grille in Horsham say they are coping the best they can without power at home.
"I'm definitely out to eat because of the power outage," said one man.
"I haven't had anything hot to drink or eat in about 36 hours," added a woman. "We have all of our refrigerated things out on our balcony where it's cold, and it's getting a little chilly (indoors) now."
This man said going to work keeps his mind off the power outage he's experiencing at home -- sort of:
"I typically bring my lunch to work and couldn't because everything in the fridge is pretty much bad, so my only option is to go out and eat -- which isn't necessarily bad!"
Hurley's co-owner, Elfrede Hurley, says they've gotten about three times the business this week compared to what they normally do.
"I think everybody in the neighborhood's been here," she tells KYW Newsradio.
