Analysis: Expect Delay In Holiday Deliveries

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --  Millions of Americans are expecting holiday deliveries this year, But it might take them a little longer to arrive.

Analysis by a shipping software developer finds the "on time" delivery rate for UPS ground packages fell 6% from this time last year.

UPS admits it's been a little slower.

Fed-ex has also slowed down.

Factors include an increase in online sales and fewer staff members.
