2 Arrested In Amber Alert Abduction; Children Found Safe

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Pennsylvania State Police arrested two suspects in connection with the armed abduction of two young children in Lancaster County Thursday night that prompted an Amber Alert.

Investigators say the children were located and are in good health.

The car was stopped Friday morning where Route 1 meets the Schuylkill Expressway near City Line Avenue in Philadelphia.

Chopped 3 was over the scene where it showed Pennsylvania State Troopers placing two men under custody.

The children, three-year-old Erielys Ahorrio and four-year-old John Ahorrio, were found in the backseat of the car sleeping.

At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, police say Erielys Ahorrio and John Ahorrio were abducted from a home on Almanac Avenue in Lancaster City.

According to police, the children were abducted by their father, 23-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Jr., and grandfather, 47-year-old Eddie Ahorrio Sr.

Police say the pair took them Thursday night at gunpoint after beating up their mother's boyfriend.

The mother of the children spoke out Friday afternoon through a translator, "The worst was I thought something bad was going to happen to my kids."

The suspects are expected to face numerous charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault.
