1-year-old boy and woman killed; multiple people hurt in separate shootings in Allentown, Pa.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A one-year-old boy and a 44-year-old woman were killed Friday night in a shooting in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the Lehigh County Coroner announced.

The shooting happened before 9 p.m. Friday at a home on the 100 block of Chestnut Street, Coroner Daniel Buglio said in a news release.

Police arrived at the scene and found three victims: the boy, the woman, and a 66-year-old man.

Neither of the victims have been identified in the shooting. The boy and the woman were inside a home on the block at the time.

Allentown Police said on Facebook that the man is expected to survive.

"Their identities are being withheld to allow family to grieve in private," Allentown Police said.

5 hurt in 2 other shootings in Allentown overnight

Police said the Chestnut Street shooting did not appear to be connected to two other shootings that also happened Friday night.

After 9 p.m. on the 300 block of Ridge Avenue, police responding to a report of a shooting found a man and a woman with gunshot wounds. At the scene, police arrested 23-year-old Demitrius Bashir Campbell. He's now charged with attempted homicide, conspiracy to commit homicide, and other offenses including possessing a gun without a license.

Both victims were taken to a hospital and expected to survive.

Three other people were wounded in a shooting early Saturday morning.

Just before 2:30 a.m., police arrived at the parking lot of an Irish bar on the 1600 block of Hanover Avenue for a reported shooting. There they found a man with serious gunshot wounds. He was hospitalized and expected to survive.

Two other victims from the shooting arrived at local hospitals later and are expected to survive.
