Acting U.S. Education Secretary To Visit Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- President Barack Obama's new top education official will be in Philadelphia later Thursday afternoon.
Philadelphia is the fourth stop on Acting U.S. Education Secretary John King's five-city tour to hear from teachers about strategies that work. He'll meet with Philadelphia teachers at the School of the Future.
King is the former charter school executive and New York state education commissioner who took over as U.S. education secretary this month, replacing Arne Duncan.
King's final tour stop is Friday in Wilmington, Delaware.
