Accident Snarls Traffic After Atlantic City Beach Concert

ABSECON, N.J. (AP) — A three-vehicle crash snarled traffic leaving the Maroon 5 beach concert in Atlantic City.

Absecon police say 27-year-old Corey Thacker of Little Egg Harbor apparently ran a red light on Absecon Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police say Thacker's minivan struck a car and then an SUV before it burst into flames.

Five people were injured. There is no word on their conditions.

Thacker is charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test, reckless driving and disregard of a traffic signal. It is not known if he has a lawyer who can comment on the charges.

Maroon 5 drew more than 50,000 people for the concert.
