AAA Mid-Atlantic: New Jersey Gas Prices Still Falling
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Motorists continue to see sharply lower prices at the pumps in New Jersey.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in the state on Friday was $2.16, down 6 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the price from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.26.
This marks the eleventh straight week that pump prices have fallen in New Jersey.
The national average price on Friday was $2.42, down 9 cents from last week. That's also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.43.
Analysts say pump prices will likely continue to drop in New Jersey in the coming weeks, noting that crude oil prices continue to fall.
