AAA: March Gas Prices Lowest Since 2010

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Gas prices in New Jersey and across the country continue to creep higher, but they're still at their lowest level since 2010.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says in its weekly report that the average price at the pump was $3.51 per gallon in March, That's 19 cents lower than last year, 32 cents lower than 2012 and two cents lower than 2011. Prices averaged $2.78 per gallon in 2010.

Nationally, prices averaged $3.57 last week as they continue to rise toward what AAA Mid-Atlantic expects will be a peak between $3.55 and $3.75 per gallon. Prices are expected to rise a little more over the next few weeks.

In New Jersey, prices last week averaged $3.38 per gallon, eight cents lower than the same period last year.
