94WIP Mike & Ike's Top 5 Philly Athletes Over Last 20 Years

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- While it is not official yet, Jimmy Rollins has reportedly been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers after 15, yes 15, years in Philadelphia. On Thursday, fans paid tribute to Rollins throughout the day on SportsRadio 94WIP sharing their memories of the Phillies' great shortstop.

Furthermore, Michael Barkann and Ike Reese on the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show, came up with their top five Philadelphia athletes of the last 25 years, and of course, Rollins made the list.

5. Ryan Howard

Howard has spent 11 years in Philadelphia, playing nine full seasons for the Phillies. Howard, 35, won the NL Rookie of the Year in 2005, the NL MVP in 2006, and of course a World Series title in 2008. He is a two-time NL home run champion and a three-time NL RBI champion.

4. Eric Lindros

Lindros played eight years with the Flyers. During the 1994-95 season Lindros solidified himself as the best player in hockey, winning the Hart Trophy after scoring 70 points in just 46 games (29 G, 41 A) due to a lockout shortened season.

Lindros led the Flyers to the Stanley Cup Finals in 1997, but his team was swept by the Detroit Red Wings.

3. Jimmy Rollins

Rollins remarkably spent 15 years and 14 full seasons in Philadelphia. Rollins, 36, is a three-time all-star, 2007 NL MVP winner, and 2008 World Series champion.

Rollins is got it all started in 2007 with his unforgettable quote, when he deemed the Phillies the "team to beat."

2. Brian Dawkins

B-Dawk was the heart and sole of the Eagles defense for 13 seasons. Dawkins, a nine-time Pro Bowler and six-time All Pro safety, led the Eagles to the Super Bowl in 2005, but fell short against the New England Patriots.

His number 20 was retired by the Eagles.

1. Allen Iverson

AI was one of the most electrifying and polarizing athletes in the history of Philadelphia sports. Iverson spent his first ten seasons with the Sixers, highlighted by the team's 2000-01 NBA Finals appearance.

Throughout his career, "Bubba Chuck" went to 11 all-star games, was a two-time all-star game MVP, three-time all NBA first teamer, four-time NBA scoring champ, three-time NBA steals leader, the 1997 NBA Rookie of the Year, and the 2001 NBA MVP.

Iverson is arguably the most prolific scorer, at his height, in the history of the NBA.
