76ers Head To Brooklyn Tonight To Face Nets

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The 76ers are up in New York tonight as they will run with the Brooklyn Nets.

Philadelphia is 5-29 after getting blown out on Wednesday by Milwaukee at the Center 97-77. The Sixers trailed by 16 after a quarter and never recovered. They shot just 30% from the field and missed 23 of 25 three-point attempts.

Tonight they will face a Brooklyn team that is 16-19 and on a three-game losing streak. The Nets are also going to be without a key piece as guard Deron Williams is out with a rib injury.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Bob Cooney of the Philadelphia Daily News about the match-up.

This will be the third of four meetings this season between these two division rivals. The 76ers lost the first two. On November 26th, the Nets beat the Sixers, 99-91, at the Center. Then on December 12th it was Brooklyn winning, 88-70, on their home floor.
