Dogs Set To Compete In National Dog Show Visit Ronald McDonald House

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The National Dog Show hosted by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia will take place later this month with seven new American Kennel Club sanction breeds competing.
Some of those precious pooches visited some sick children at the Ronald McDonald House in University City Thursday.
Children and their families at the Ronald McDonald House watched as the new breed pups were introduced. Among them a miniature American shepherd named Alta Black Tie Affair, or Tie for short.
"They've been around a long time. They were bred down from Australian Shepherds and they are herding dogs and they are wonderful in agility and they are very smart," said owner and handler Pat Clark of Roxborough.
The National Dog Show will be held on Nov. 14 and 15 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.
