Community Shaken As 4 Sought In Brutal Attack On Man In Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Police in Philadelphia are searching for four people seen on video attacking a man earlier this month.
It happened around 8 p.m. back on January 10, 2017 in the 1200 block of South Broad Street.
Police say the suspects approached the 25-year-old victim and beat him to the ground. Video shows the group kicking and punching the victim several times.
Police say the suspects tried to steal the victim's cell phone, but were unsuccessful.

The attach took place around the time many in the neighborhood are finishing dinner or putting their young ones to bed. Authorities are searching for answers, unsure about whether or not the four suspects are committing other crimes.
"It's kind of shocking in this neighborhood. Not often it happens." Ronnie Rodgers has lived in the area of Broad and Federal for 18 years and said this attack was reminiscent of how the neighborhood used to be, not the positive direction it's heading.
"I've seen it come from the bottom, to where it is now and the neighborhood has changed tremendously," Rodgers said.
It's also a neighborhood that many SEPTA riders walk through to get to the Broad Street Line. The attack happened just a block from the Ellsworth-Federal Station.
Nancy Berger walks her grandchild through the neighborhood often. She says now that she's heard about the attack, it'll make her and her family a little more aware of their surroundings.
Anyone who can help identify these suspects is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
