22nd Annual Earth Fair To Be Held In Burlington County

By David Madden

EASTAMPTON, NJ (CBS) -- Burlington County is throwing a party Sunday in the park, Smithville Park in Eastampton to be exact, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

County spokesman Eric Arpert says of the 22nd annual Earth Fair, "This is an opportunity where there are green vendors, environmental displays, eco-friendly entertainment and activities for kids and adults of all ages."

Like a sustainable living tent with everything from solar panels to a backyard veggie garden.

There's a nature walk at noon hosted by the director of the county freeholder board and you can tour the historic Smithville Mansion for a $5 contribution to a fund to sustain the place.

And just up the road a tad at Smith's Woods, county residents can drop off unwanted electronics, shred documents or recycle gently used clothing. Much like nature itself, this fair will be held rain or shine.
