2 Trenton Men Charged In Murder Of 22-Year-Old Man

TRENTON, N.J. (CBS) – The Mercer County Prosecutor and Trenton Police announced that two Trenton men have been charged for a January 2014 murder.

The men are accused of killing 22-year-old Chevin Burgess.

A robbery scheme by Calier Samad and Joeryan Foreman resulted in Samad allegedly shooting Burgess in the head.

The suspects then allegedly drove Burgess' body to the side of 104 Hart Avenue, doused the vehicle with gasoline and set it on fire.

Samad is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and other related offenses. His bail was set at $1 million. He is currently held at the Albert C. Wagner Youth Correctional facility on unrelated charges.

Foreman is charged with felony murder, robbery and related offenses. He is being held at the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $600,000 bail.

The case remains under investigation by the Mercer County Homicide Task Force.
