2 Phila. Police Officers Injured After Attempt To Pull Over A Car Ends In Crash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 23-year-old driver ran into a police SUV, injuring two officers who were in it.  It happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday in West Philadelphia. Authorities say police were attempting to pull the driver over in the 5800 block of Master Street when the driver sped away.  The car then careened into a police SUV about a block away.  The SUV jumped a curb and struck a house.

Both officers were taken to Presbyterian Hospital and are listed in stable condition. The driver of the fleeing vehicle and a 34-year-old female passenger were also taken to area hospitals.  There's no word on their conditions.
Police say a preliminary investigation reveals a substance that appears to be marijuana was found in the vehicle.
