2 Arrested After Stealing Bag From AC Beach In Front Of Officer
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) – Police have arrested two teenagers they say stole a woman's bag from her unattended spot on the Atlantic City beach Thursday.
Authorities say an officer watched an 18-year-old male take the bag while a 17-year-old male acted as the lookout.
The officer requested backup, and when the two teens tried to leave the beach, police say patrol officers swarmed in.
They were both arrested without incident. Each were charged with Theft and Conspiracy to Commit Theft.
The woman's bag was returned to her with nothing missing. She tells police it contained items she values at over $700.
