Fatal house fire in Wilmington under investigation

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- The cause of a house fire in Wilmington Friday afternoon is under investigation after officials say a 13-year-old boy died.

The Delaware Fire Marshal says the fire was reported shortly before 12:30 p.m. on the 400 block of Robinson Drive.

The 13-year-old was taken to Nemours Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Minquadale Fire Company says flames took over the one-story home when arriving at the scene and rescued the 13-year-old that was inside. EMS and New Castle County Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 13-year-old while going to the trauma center at Nemours Children's Hospital, according to the release.

Officials say the damages are estimated at $200,000 and there are no other injures.
