108-Year-Old Hatboro Man To Be Part Of Annual Veterans Day Breakfast At White House
HATBORO, Pa. (CBS) -- A send-off today in Hatboro for a 108-year-old World War II veteran who will be taking part in the annual Veterans Day breakfast tomorrow at the White House.
Sergeant William Mohr was with the 45th Infantry and helped push the Germans out of Southern France in 1944.
"Through San Tropez and some other ports in southern France, liberated the concentration camp of Dachau."
Mohr's daughter Jodie Hartshorne, says her father never talked about what he saw at Dauchau until recently.
"One of things he would say to me when he did start talking about was, 'How could one group of human beings do this to another group of human beings?'"

But ask the 108-year-old Mohr about his service, and he says he's just proud to have played a part.
"I did what my country wanted me to do."
Mohr's trip to DC includes a stop at the World War II memorial and the Veterans Day breakfast at the White House.
Daughter Jodie says her dad first cast a presidential ballot for Calvin Coolidge, and did vote earlier this week.
