1 Killed In Horsham Condo Fire

HORSHAM, Pa. (CBS) – Officials say a young man is dead after a fire that started Saturday morning at a condo in Horsham, Montgomery County, then spread to other units.

This happened just before 4:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Green Meadow Lane.

Officials say the victim, who has not yet been identified, is in his 20s or 30s.

According to fire officials, the blaze slowly spread to neighboring units -- affecting eight in total. One unit was heavily damaged while the other units have smoke and water damage.

The Red Cross says they are assisting eight people while some of the residents have been allowed back in their homes.

No other injuries were reported.

It took crews about an hour to contain the blaze. Officials are still investigating the cause.
