1 Dead, 4 Hurt After Pa. Turnpike Crash

WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP , Pa. (CBS) – State Police say one person is dead and four others injured after an accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early Thursday morning.
Police say this happened around 12:30 a.m. when all five passengers were in a car that collided with a tractor-trailer.
This happened in the westbound lanes of the Turnpike in Whitemarsh, Montgomery County approaching Norristown.
According to police, the driver of the car lost control, hit a guard rail then spun into traffic -- right in the path of the truck.
One victim, identified by police as 18-year-old Michael Graham, was taken to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The four other victims were transported to Abington Hospital. Their ages range from 17 to 26 years old.
A helicopter was requested following the accident, but they were grounded because of the severe weather.
The accident forced closures overnight for several hours in the area of the accident, but all lanes are now open.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
