1 Dead, 1 Injured When SUV Overturns On Garden State Parkway

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. (AP) — State police say one person was killed and another was injured when a sport utility vehicle overturned on the Garden State Parkway.

But it's not yet known what caused the accident, which occurred around 7 a.m. Sunday in the southbound express lanes near milemarker 122.3 in Old Bridge.

The person killed in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene. The injured person was flown to a hospital, but further details on their condition were not disclosed.

Their names have not been released.

The southbound express lanes were briefly closed while the accident was investigated, but no major traffic problems were reported.
