Jalen Hurts talks ahead of Game 6 against the NY Jets

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles suffered an ugly 20-14 loss against the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. 

Jalen Hurts' tossed his third interception of the game late in the fourth quarter that set up a go-ahead touchdown by Breece Hall.

The Eagles suffered an ugly 20-14 loss against the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium. 

Jalen Hurts' tossed his interception of the game late in the fourth quarter that set up a go-ahead touchdown by Breece Hall. 

Hurts completed 28 of his 45 passes for 281 yards and one touchdown to D'Andre Swift. He also had a rushing touchdown in the loss. 

The win for the Jets is the team's first against the Eagles in franchise history.

Hurts tosses crucial INT

Hurts tossed his second interception of the game early in the fourth quarter against the Jets as soon as the Eagles crossed midfield. 

Hurts' arm was hit on the play and the pass intended for Kenneth Gainwell, was picked off by Bryce Hall. 

Hurts was pressured on the right side of his line. He's currently missing two starters on the right side of his line, Lane Johnson and Cam Jurgens. 

Meanwhile, the injury woes continue for the Birds. 

Cornerback Bradley Roby is questionable to return with a shoulder injury and Reed Blankenship and Eli Ricks were both ruled out.

Jets inching closer to Eagles' lead

Haason Reddick came up huge for the Eagles late in the third quarter. 

The Temple product came in unblocked and sacked Jets quarterback Zach Wilson for a loss of 12 yards. 

After not converting on third down, Jets kicker Greg Zuerlein booted in a 38-yard field goal to cut the Eagles' lead to 14-12.

Lane Johnson ruled out, team says

Lane Johnson, who was questionable to return with an ankle injury, has been ruled out of Week 6 against the Jets, the team said. 

Johnson was replaced by Jack Driscoll after he left with an injury.

Eagles lead Jets at halftime

Jalen Hurts and and D'Andre Swift scored touchdowns as the Eagles led the Jets, 14-9, at halftime. The Birds will get the ball back to start the third quarter. 

Jalen Hurts completed 18 of his 25 passes for 172 yards, one touchdown and one interception in the half. The turnover wasn't necessarily Hurts' fault. Jets' Jermaine Johnson II popped the ball out of Dallas Goedert's hands and defensive lineman Quinnen Williams came away with the turnover. 

Hurts has also rushed for 21 yards on four carries. His score in the first quarter initially wasn't ruled a touchdown, but it was overturned after a review. 

Swift was the recipient of Hurts' lone touchdown pass to give the Eagles a 14-3 lead with 5:32 left in the second quarter.

Later in the second quarter, Swift coughed up a fumble and the Jets recovered. Linebacker C.J. Mosely forced the fumble and it was recovered by Williams. 

A.J. Brown leads the Birds in receiving with 89 yards on five catches.  

Brandon Graham and Jordan Davis each have half a sack. 

Lane Johnson and Eli Ricks are both questionable to return for the Birds. Johnson suffered an ankle injury, while Ricks is dealing with a knee injury.

Swift scores TD

The Eagles' second scoring drive was nothing like their first one. 

The Eagles marched down the field in less than three minutes in six plays to take a 14-3 lead. The drive was capped off by a 9-yard touchdown receiving score from Jalen Hurts to D'Andre Swift. 

Before the score, Hurts connected with Brown for a 49-yard pass to set the Birds up in the Jets 3-yard line.

Jets intercept Hurts

The Jets caused a turnover after sending pressure against Jalen Hurts. 

Hurts tossed a pass to Dallas Goedert on a screen pass, but the ball was popped out by Jermaine Johnson II and picked off by Quinnen Williams. 

The Jets will take over at midfield with about 10 minutes left in the first half.

Lane Johnson injured

Eagles starting right tackle Lane Johnson is questionable to return with an ankle injury, the team said. 

With Johnson out, backup tackle Jack Driscoll is playing right tackle. 

Johnson, one of the best tackles in the sport, would be a massive loss for the Birds.

Jason Kelce continues to etch himself into the Philadelphia Eagles' history books. 

Kelce made his 145th consecutive regular-season start on Sunday against the New York Jets, which breaks Jon Runyan's record of 144 from the 2000s for the most in Eagles franchise history.

Birds strike first

After a 19-play, 91-yard drive, the Eagles finally found the end zone. 

Jalen Hurts reached over the plane to score on a 3-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles an early lead. Jake Elliott hit the extra point to make it 7-0 Eagles with 3:04 left in the first quarter. 

Initially, it wasn't ruled a touchdown, but after a review, officials decided to reverse the call. 

Hurts made multiple plays to sustain the drive. He went 9 for 12 for 66 yards through the air and rushed for 21 yards on four carries.

As CBS Philadelphia's Pat Gallen pointed out, Philadelphia is a special place. 

Dom DiSandro, the senior advisor to the general manager and chief security officer for the Eagles, was signing autographs for fans before the game against the Jets.
