Eagles run past Packers on SNF for 10th win on the season

Jalen Hurts tossed two touchdowns, had 157 rushing yards and Miles Sanders added two scores on the ground as the Eagles beat the Packers, 40-33, to become the NFL's first 10-win team on Sunday night at Lincoln Financial Field. 

Hurts' passing touchdowns went to Quez Watkins and A.J. Brown. He completed 16 of his 28 passes for 153 yards. 

Sanders also had 100-plus yards on the ground. The Penn State product recorded 139 yards on 21 carries to go along with his two scores. Kenny Gainwell added a score on the ground for the Birds. 

Overall, the Eagles had 364 rushing yards.

With Aaron Rodgers out and the Eagles up for two scores, the game looked over. 

Not so fast. 

Packers backup quarterback Jordan Love tossed a 63-yard touchdown pass to rookie wideout Christian Watson to make it, 37-30, with 9:00 left in the fourth quarter. 

The Eagles drove down the field for nearly six minutes, but they weren't able to find the end zone. 

Jake Elliott booted in a 31-yard field goal to give the Eagles a 37-23 lead with 11:11 left in the game. 

After the Packers booted in a field goal to make it, 34-23, late in the third quarter, Aaron Rodgers went into the locker room. He looked like he was in pain after every throw on the most recent drive. 

The broadcast says that Rodgers is questionable to return with a oblique injury. 

The Eagles picked up right where they left off in the third quarter. 

A.J. Brown hauled in a 6-yard touchdown pass from Jalen Hurts to give the Eagles a 34-20 lead early in the third quarter. 

It's Hurts' second touchdown pass of the night. 

Hurts has completed 14 of his 22 passes for 146 yards for two touchdowns and recorded 130 yards on the ground for 11 carries. 

What a first half. 

The Eagles lead the Packers, 27-20, after two frames. 

Miles Sanders already has two touchdowns on 11 carries for 51 rushing yards. But the team's leading rusher? That would be Jalen Hurts. He's got 126 rushing yards on 10 carries.

Hurts threw a 30-yard touchdown pass to Quez Watkins give the Eagles a 27-20 lead at the end of the second quarter.   

Hurts has completed 11 of his 17 passes for 128 yards to go along with that score to Watkins. 

The Packers, who are desperate at 4-7, are scoring the ball at will against the Eagles defense. 

Aaron Rodgers has tossed touchdown passes to Aaron Jones and Randall Cobb. A.J. Dillon punched one in on the ground for Green Bay. 

But Rodgers has also thrown two interceptions. Josiah Scott intercepted one pass on Green Bay's first drive after the ball was deflected, and rookie safety Reed Blankenship recorded his first interception of his career in the second quarter.  

The Eagles wideouts have been quiet through the first half, and A.J. Brown had a costly turnover in the second quarter that led to Jones' receiving touchdown. 

The Packers capitalized after A.J. Brown fumbled midway through the second quarter. 

Aaron Jones hauled in a 23-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Jones to tie the game, 20-20, with 7:41 left in the second quarter. Mason Crosby missed the extra point.  

The fumble was Brown's second in as many weeks. He's been dealing with a stomach bug since Thanksgiving. 

Rookie safety Reed Blankenship, who replaced the injured C.J. Gardner Johnson, intercepted Aaron Rodgers early in the second quarter. 

It's Rodgers' second turnover of the night. 

The Eagles will have a chance to add some cushion to their lead. 

Miles Sanders scored his second touchdown of the night to give the Eagles a 20-13 lead with 14:54 left in the second quarter. 

Jalen Hurts also continues to make big plays with his legs. 

Hurts set up the score after he rushed for 42 yards on third-and-two. He already has 103 rushing yards in the game. 

It didn't take long for Green Bay to score after converting on fourth down. 

Randall Cobb caught an 11-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to give the Packers a 14-13 lead with 3:09 left in the first quarter. 

Eagles' safety C.J. Gardner Johnson left the game with an injury after hitting Green Bay wideout Christian Watson. 

Watson hauled in a 21-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers over the middle on fourth-and-five at the Eagles' 32-yard line. He took a shot from Gardner-Johnson, but held on. 

Gardner-Johnson was down after the play with the team's medical staff and walked off the field. He's questionable to return to the game with a rib injury. 

The Packers have some life. 

After the Eagles went up by two scores early, A.J. Dillon scored on a 20-yard touchdown run to make it a 13-7 game with 6:40 left in the first quarter.  

The Packers, who were set up by a nice kick return, went 59 yards on four plays in just over two minutes. 

The Eagles capitalized on Aaron Rodgers' mistake early in the first quarter. 

After Josiah Scott picked off Rodgers, Miles Sanders scored on a 15-yard touchdown run to give the Eagles  13-0 lead in the first quarter. Jake Elliott missed the extra point. 

I wrote about Rodgers throwing an interception and Sanders scoring before the game, and it didn't take long to cash. 

Sanders is already up to 32 rushing yards, while Hurts has 60. 

On the opening drive of the game, the Eagles went down the field in less than five minutes and scored. 

Kenny Gainwell punched in a 4-yard run for a touchdown to give the Birds a 7-0 lead with 11:19 left in the first quarter. 

Jalen Hurts had two clutch runs on the drive. After tossing two incompletions, Hurts had a 24-yard run on third-and-10 from their own 25-yard-line. 

Then, Hurts had a 29-yard gain on third-and-six to set-up the Eagles in Packers territory. 

For the first time tonight against the Packers, the Eagles are wearing their all black uniforms. 

The Eagles were allowed to add the black helmets to their uniform options after the NFL overturned a safety rule in 2021 that previously required teams to have only one color to ensure players would practice and play in the same helmet.  

In the 2023 season, the Eagles will swap out the black alternate helmets for Kelly Green helmets, reminiscent of their 1990s-style uniform.

We're two hours away from kickoff, and head coach Nick Sirianni linked up with some Eagles legends before the game. 

Sirianni was talking with former Eagles Trent Cole and Hugh Douglas ahead of Sunday Night Football against the Packers. Both of them are being inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame at halftime. 

Douglas played with the Eagles from 1998 to 2002, while Cole was with the team from 2005 to 2014.
