World Naked Bike Ride Coming To Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The World Naked Bike Ride is coming to Brooklyn.
The clothing-optional event will get underway at Grand Ferry Park in Williamsburg at 6 p.m. Friday.
The rides, which are described as a protest against car culture and oil dependency, are held in nearly 100 cities in 20 countries.
Thousands of bicyclists took part in a similar event last weekend in Portland, Oregon.
Rides are also planned for this weekend in Los Angeles and later this month in Boston.
The ride has been held in New York City every June since 2009, according to the event's Twitter profile.
