Police: Men Assaulted Bronx Woman, Stole $50K From Safe
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City police are looking for three suspects accused of forcing their way into a woman's Bronx home, assaulting her and stealing money from her safe.
Police say the 68-year-old female victim was sitting at her home in the Riverdale area on July 28 when she heard a knock at the door around 11:07 a.m.
She asked her home health aide to answer the door and when the 22-year-old woman did, three suspects forced their way inside and tied up the young woman, police say.
The suspects then allegedly assaulted the homeowner and stole $50,000 from the woman's safe. She refused medical attention at the scene.
