Woman, 86, Hit By Fire Truck On Emergency Call In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An 86-year-old woman suffered serious injuries Friday after being struck by a fire truck in Midwood, Brooklyn.
The woman was struck around 1:20 p.m. at Coney Island Avenue and Avenue M in Brooklyn, police said.
The FDNY fire truck was headed to an emergency call at Avenue L and Nostrand Avenue at the time, the FDNY told 1010 WINS.
The lights and sirens were running on the fire truck at the time, the FDNY said.
The woman was taken to Lutheran Medical Center for serious injuries, authorities said.
