Couple stabbed to death at Bronx apartment building, neighbor suspected
NEW YORK -- A couple was stabbed to death late Friday night during a dispute in their Bronx apartment building and police are trying to find the man who did it.
Police said it started when the man acted inappropriately toward two women who were with another man at the building on Rochambeau Avenue in the Norwood section.
A dispute continued as all four went up to the 4th floor, where the suspect stabbed the 29-year-old woman in the chest and slashed the 33-year-old woman in the hand, police said.
The younger woman's boyfriend, 45, tried to defend the women, but the suspect stabbed him in the torso multiple times.
The couple died at the hospital.
"I saw the whole thing, it was crazy," a neighbor told CBS New York.
He said he saw a woman bleeding profusely from her chest in the lobby and another person calling for help.
"She was bleeding a lot. The other lady was giving her CPR. She was screaming," he said. "She was telling me there's a guy upstairs dead."
He believes the suspect lives in the building.
"When I was walking in, the suspect was walking out. He got onto his motorcycle, a white Suzuki, and he just took off," he said.
