Lincoln Tunnel Traffic Snagged After SUV Gets Pinned Under Truck In Weehawken
WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Traffic near the Lincoln Tunnel in Weehawken, New Jersey was tied up for several hours Thursday evening, when a Range Rover became pinned under a semi-trailer truck.
The accident happened around 5:20 p.m., officials told CBS2.
At least one person – the female driver – was in the Range Rover, officials said.
Chopper 2 video from the scene showed firefighters working to extricate the victim. The front of the Range Rover was mangled and wedged beneath the back of the Sysco Foods truck.
The woman was taken to an area hospital in an unknown condition, officials said.
Traffic was tied up for several hours near the Lincoln Tunnel after the accident.
