Wake held for fallen Bristol, Connecticut, police officer

BRISTOL, Conn. -- A wake was held Wednesday for Bristol Police Officer Alex Hamzy, who was shot and killed last week in the line of duty

Mourners were able to pay their respects at the Lyceum on Main Street in Terryville.

Hamzy and Dustin DeMonte were killed responding to call in an ambush attack. Both were posthumously promoted, DeMonte to lieutenant and Hamzy to sergeant.

A funeral will be held for both men at 11 a.m. Friday at Rentschler Field at Pratt and Whitney Stadium in East Hartford.

The funeral will be livestreamed on CBS News New York.
