NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It can't be viewed enough.

Arguably the greatest NCAA Tournament national championship game in college basketball history ended in spectacular fashion late Monday night as Villanova captured its first title since 1985, thanks to a shot that will be replayed over and over for years.

So, why stop now?

The Wildcats nearly let the game get away from them in the final seconds as North Carolina's Marcus Paige hit a near-impossible double-clutch, game-tying 3-pointer with 4.7 seconds left.

However, following a timeout, Villanova's Kris Jenkins inbounded the ball to Ryan Arcidiacono, who raced up court and then found Jenkins trailing. It was a play that the Wildcats worked on every day in practice.

Jenkins took the pass, spotted up and nailed a long 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded, setting of bedlam inside Houston's NRG Stadium.

What followed was a massive on-court celebration and wild reaction at Villanova's Philadelphia campus.

And dejection in the North Carolina locker room as head coach Roy Williams was near tears as he spoke following the crushing defeat.

It certainly was "One Shining Moment" for Villanova, which finished the season 35-5.
